Structural Steelwork Design

Providing structural steelwork designs for fabricators, including steel frames, platforms and commercial buildings.
We can produce primary, secondary member designs as well as steelwork connections.
We offer designs to British Standard and now more commonly to Eurocode, and can provide all sub-grade specification and butt-weld utilisations to assist with your EN-1090 certification compliance.
With our experience gained from working alongside fabricators, we undertake value engineering exercises to produce economic design packages.
We are also able to offer temporary stability schemes for all aspects of steelwork erection, including unclad wind assessments, free-standing column stability and temporary bracing design.

Steelwork Connection Assessment

If there is an unusual or unusually loaded steelwork connection which falls outside of manual design methods, we can carry out finite element analysis calculations using our bespoke software. The software can be used on almost any type of connection, including base plate interaction with foundations and holding down bolt analysis.

Industrial Chimneys and Windshields

Providing the design of steel industrial chimneys and windshields ranging from small commercial chimneys, to multi-flue windshields for energy centres.  Using cutting edge software, we are able to carry out designs to Eurocode, CICIND, and BS4076 as well as Indian and American standards including seismic analysis.

Civil Engineering

We are able to carry out the civil engineering design of retaining structures, hard-standings, service yards, car parks, piling mats, and foundations.
We can produce drainage designs, and incorporate SUDS compliance with the use of attenuation and flow restriction systems.
We have a network of specialist contacts and are able to arrange any necessary site investigatory works such as phase 1 desk-top site investigations, phase 2 intrusive site investigations or topographical and drainage surveys.

Domestic Structural Services

If you are planning to undertake work on your house that will involve any structural modifications to the property such as a wall removal, roof modification or an extension, you will likely be required to submit your plans and structural calculations to the Building Control department of your local authority.
We can aid with all design aspects, including providing design calculations and drawings, dealing with the local authority and also help to arrange the services of an Architect if required.
If you already have Architects drawings and require structural aspects to be designed, we can work alongside your Architect to produce the necessary design submission.
